November Harvest

Fruit

  • Pomegranate: I don’t know about you but I love snacking on these sweet and juicy seeds, but for this special holiday season try them out in a Bake Brie.

  • Cranberries: We all know that Cranberries scream holidays but let change things up this year by trying these in a Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Cocktail, or a Cranberry Cobbler.

  • Grapefruit: You can never go went eating one of these for breakfast by its self or along with a bowl of granola. But try it out this season in a Poppy Seed Cake.

  • Mandarins: Mandarins add a nice touch to any salad but won’t you try making a Spicy Margarita just in time for the holidays.

  • Pears: From Anjou, Bartlett, Bosc, to Comice who knew there were so much, here are some tasty recipes to try. First try making a Prosciutto and Pear Grilled Cheese Sandwich, next you can try adding some to a Chicken Salad and for a sweet treat try making Pear Tart.

  • Apples: Try making an Apple Chutney it will pair nicely next to your Thanksgiving Turkey.

  • Grapes: Grapes are a no-brainer, you can always make homemade jam, but if your feeling adventurous try making a farro salad and adding grapes for a sweet touch.

  • Figs: I saved the best for last because Figs are my favorite, and they pair well with just about everything. Like a cheese board for the holidays or a wine party, you can make a Fig Bread or some fig jam to have on your breakfast toast. Where and you find these sweet babies at your local grocery store of course but if your willing to get up on a Saturday morning you can catch these at your local farmers market.
