Gastritis is a condition that affects the lining of the stomach, causing it to become inflamed. This can occur suddenly (acute) or gradually ( chronic).
What Causes Gastritis?
Gastritis can be brought on by irritation due to excessive alcohol consuming, vomiting, stress or even the use of certain medication such as aspirin or other anti-inflammatory drugs. Gastritis can also be brought on by one of the following:
Helicobacter pylori ( H. pylori): A bacteria that lives in the mucous lining of the stomach, without treatment, the infection can lead to ulcers, and in some people, stomach cancer.
Bile reflux: A backflow of bile into the stomach from the bile tract this is the connection to the liver and gallbladder.
Infections: caused by bacteria and viruses
What are some the Symptoms of Gastritis?
Please note that symptoms do vary among individuals, and in many people there are no symptoms. Here are some of the most common symptoms mention by patients.

How Is Gastritis Diagnose?
Upper endoscopy- to take pictures of the lining of your stomach to check for inflammation.
Blood Test- checking your red blood cell count.
Fecal blood test- to check to see if blood is inside the stool.
Acute gastritis is more common effecting every 8 to 1,000 people. Using an anti-inflammatory diet may help to reduce some of the symptoms of gastritis. Consuming a diet that helps to minimize inflammation may provide relief over time. Keeping a food diary, can be helpful for people to identify which foods trigger their symptoms.
